Bob Dylan assina contrato para escrever seis livros

O cantor americano Bob Dylan assinou contrato com a editora Simon & Schuster para publicar seis novos livros, informa a revista Crain's New York Business.

Dylan pretende escrever duas continuações do livro "Crônicas: Volume 1", publicado em 2004 e que se tornou um best-seller nos Estados Unidos.

Outro livro será baseado no programa que o artista tem em uma das cadeias do grupo de rádio por satélite Sirius XM. O tema dos três livros restantes não foi revelado.

O Strokes definiu o título e o primeiro single de seu novo álbum, o primeiro da banda desde "First Impressions of Earth", de 2006. Em entrevista à Rolling Stone americana, o guitarrista Albert Hammond Jr. disse que o disco vai se chamar "Angles" e o primeiro single será "Undercover of Darkness".

Entre as demais faixas que estarão no disco, segundo ele, estarão "Taken For A Fool", "Life Is Simple", "Machu Picchu", "Radio Minor Madness" e "Call Me Back".

Hammond ainda garantiu que, depois do lançamento de "Angles", a banda não pretende passar outros cinco anos até produzir seu quarto disco. "Queremos lançar álbuns mais rápido", disse.

O guitarrista Nick Valensi foi pelo mesmo caminho. "Não quero lançar um disco a cada cinco anos. Eu amo estar nessa banda e quero que ela seja a minha carreira", explicou.

"Angles" será o quarto disco do Strokes. Os anteriores foram "Is This It" (2001), "Room on Fire" (2003) e "First Impressions of Earth" (2006).
